About me
I hold a bachelor's degree in advertising, a diploma in UX design, and a master's in contemporary culture studies. My academic journey has been a fascinating exploration of consumer behaviour, which has deeply influenced my approach to design.
I currently work as a graphic designer in Toronto, and it's this role that has allowed me to bridge the gaps between various design disciplines. While some might see graphic design, UX design, digital, and printing as distinct entities, I see them as tools in my storytelling arsenal. My mission as a designer is simple: convey the brand's, company's, or product's message through any medium. Whether it's a flyer, a restaurant menu, or a digital app, my goal remains consistent – to ensure that users have a seamless and engaging experience while understanding the intended message.
I understand that there are technical differences and nuances in various design tasks. Creating a social media post is not the same as designing an app, and the UX design process for an app involves extensive research, persona creation, information architecture, user flows, sketches, and prototypes. But at the core, both endeavours share a common purpose: to make sure the user comprehends the message and enjoys a positive experience.
I firmly believe that being a design generalist is an asset. It allows me to adapt to the ever-evolving design landscape, to see connections between seemingly disparate elements, and to approach challenges with a holistic perspective. In a world where specialization often prevails, I celebrate the versatility of my skills and the power it brings to my creative process.
Join me on a journey through the art of design and storytelling, where I weave together the threads of my education and experiences to craft compelling narratives that resonate with users and leave a lasting impact.
